Local knowledge

Living in Colchester
Colchester is one of the fastest growing towns in the country. Bustling cafes, bars and restaurants are complemented by a great mix of independent retailers alongside main ‘high street names’. One of Colchester’s main draws is its excellent transport links. Not only does it have a mainline railway station with a direct service to London Liverpool Street in as little as 50 minutes, it also has exceptional road links. The A12 will take you to J28 of the M25 about 38 miles away whilst the A120, means you are about 32 miles from the M11. Sporting facilities are excellent in the area with the likes of Leisure World. Just on the outskirts of town is Colchester United Football Club. For those who enjoy green open spaces there is Castle Park, which is home to Colchester Castle and Highwoods Country Park.
