The famous Golden Acre Park is about three miles away, as is delightful open countryside and Leeds Bradford Airport is about 15 minute's drive by car. There are popular primary schools in the area including Iveson Primary School nearby and The Holy Name Catholic Primary School - which is about 15 minute's walk. Ralph Thoresby Secondary School is about one and a quarter miles away. Horsforth railway station is a short drive or about 25 minute's walk and provides useful rail links, for the commuter, to both Leeds and Harrogate.
