Local knowledge

Living in St Neots

St Neots is a thriving market town in Cambridgeshire, 15 miles from the city of Cambridge and 49 miles from London.

With a population of around 40,000, it is the largest town in the county with a prosperous commercial centre which boasts a wide selection of shops and restaurants.

Its serene location on the River Great Ouse and parklands mean that St Neots is often referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Ouse’ and is an attractive destination for tourists.

There’s a wide range of property in St Neots. The most exciting developments include Loves Farm, a 160-acre site east of the railway station that consists of over 1,400 homes, a primary school, shops and community facilities. A further 2,800 homes are also due to be built as part of Wintringham Park, a brand new development.
