Things to do
Our attractive new homes for sale are on the outskirts of Basingstoke. It's a historic but vibrant town with excellent facilities that's also surrounded by beautiful Hampshire countryside.
The new builds in Hounsome Fields are close to supermarkets, shops, schools and cafes. A Tesco Express has recently opened onsite and there are plans to introduce a community building, two equipped areas of play and one multi-use games area to enhance social engagement.
The peaceful Gabriel Park and Old Down Park, with their scenic walks and woodlands, are on the doorstep, as is the Beggarwood Park play area and amphitheatre. Access to green spaces like these is a major draw for our new houses for sale.
It's less than 10 minutes by bus or car into Basingstoke town centre, where you can browse 160 stores in the Festival Place shopping centre, dine at its many restaurants and cafes, watch a film at its multiplex cinema or step back in time at the Milestones Museum. The town is also home to Anvil Arts, one of the region's leading music venues. Meanwhile, the Leisure Park is popular for its ice skating, bowling and swimming.

Education

There are several infant and junior schools in the area, all around 1.5 miles away - a few minutes' drive or a 30-minute walk. The closest include Hatch Warren Infants, Kempshott Juniors, North Waltham and Manor Field Juniors. All three are rated 'Good' by Ofsted. There is also a school being constructed onsite by Hampshire County Council, which is due to open in 2025. This will open up even more educational opportunities near our new homes for sale.
For secondary education (ages 11 to 16), Aldworth School is 2.4 miles away, The Costello School is 3.8 miles away and The Vyne Community School is 4.2 miles away. Sixth-form students (ages 16 to 19) can choose from Queen Mary's College, which offers A-levels and BTECs, and Basingstoke College of Technology, which provides a range of full- and part-time vocational courses.
The independent Sherfield School caters to babies from three months up to students of 18 years and is nine miles away from our new homes. There are plans for a nursery onsite at Hounsome Fields, which will offer ultra-convenient childcare for parents.
