Why move to Hendon?
A little bit of history
Our Hendon-dwelling forebears go back generations, with Hendon and District Archaeological Society having found evidence of a Roman settlement in the area and Hendon also appearing in the Domesday book as 'Hendun', which means 'at the highest hill'. But it is for flying that Hendon is really famous, with the Hendon Aerodrome having played a significant role in the birth of powered flight ' which you can discover more about at Hendon RAF Museum.
Need to know
Locally we are looking forward to the regeneration plans for West Hendon. The area has also relatively recently seen development in Colindale with Beaufort Park's modern complex.
Shopping
Whether it's the weekly food shop at Marks & Spencer, browsing for clothes, shoes, homewares and gifts, or visiting John Lewis, Fenwicks and the Apple Store Brent Cross Shopping Centre won't disappoint. And, with the planned expansion, the shopping selection is only going to get better.
