St Mary Magdalene Church, which is Listed, Grade II* was built in 1850 and designed by the eminent architect William Butterfield. The internal layout is conventional for a Victorian Church with a large, vaulted nave leading to the Altar to the East and a small Vestry to the north of the Church.
The Graveyard will continue to belong to the Parish who will preserve a right of public access.
The path leading to the Church forms a formal right of access for Church users.
Part of the churchyard may be included in the sale as amenity land depending on the needs of the use proposed and will be agreed with the successful bidder. Any necessary reciprocal rights of access will be reserved for the buyer and for visitors to graves.
The Location
St Mary Magdalene Church is located on the fringes of the village of West Lavington which is just outside the market town of Midhurst at the heart of the South Downs National Park.
Midhurst and the surrounding area have much to offer with Polo at Cowdray Park, racing at Goodwood and Fontwell, golf at Cowdray Park, Goodwood, Pulborough and Liphook, motor racing at the Goodwood circuit and sailing out of Chichester Harbour and other centres along the South Coast. There are many footpaths and bridleways in the area for walking and riding.

Covenants
Covenants will be included when disposing of the property. These are designed primarily to ensure the property is used for authorised purposes only. To prevent unauthorised alterations or demolition, protect against any human remains, tombstones, monuments or memorials.
