If you are looking for an immaculately presented modern family home you can walk straight into without having to do anything except install your furniture, this superb property on the exclusive Stillwater Park development on the outskirts of Herne Bay could tick all the boxes. Driving through the estate, past attractive landscaped communal grounds including large ponds and play areas, you can feel the family friendly and peaceful atmosphere. The feeling is enhanced even more when you see this delightful property set back from the quiet road with its front lawn, shrub border and block paved driveway leading to the double garage and providing off road parking for about five or six cars.

There is a good sized hall leading to the superb kitchen/breakfast room that was redesigned about two years ago and it now includes granite worktops and modern grey units housing a variety of integrated appliances as well as a large central island/breakfast bar. There are French doors to the terrace, a useful understairs cupboard and an adjacent utility room. The elegant sitting room is light with a bay window with a gas fire and stone surround as well as French doors to the terrace. There is a formal dining room, a cloakroom and a very useful study. On the first floor you will find the family bathroom with a bath and shower and four double bedrooms including a guest room with en- suite facilities and fitted wardrobes and the attractive main bedroom with a shower room, Juliette balcony and two double fitted wardrobes.

The rear garden has been professionally landscaped and beautifully maintained. It includes a mellow Indian sandstone terrace that runs along the back of the house and by the side of the garage and leads to a large, well-kept lawn and a low wall with steps up to additional lawn areas and shrub borders. There is a separate terrace designed for alfresco dining and a miniature beach hut style shed.

What the Owner says:
“We moved here about 11 years ago and it has been a wonderful family home. We have been delighted that it is in such a safe and secure environment for children and grandchildren. However we feel it is now time to downsize and make way for new owners to take advantage of everything the property and the area has to offer. It is also very convenient as it is only a short walk to the Herne Bay High School, the railway station and the local shops. Herne Bay is a charming seaside resort with some delightful independent shops and lovely restaurants as well as the beach and seaside activities. At the same time the high speed train can get you to London in well under an hour and a half.
You can enjoy the coastline, nature and wildlife on walking and cycling trails through the Reculver coastal park or visit some of the museums and art galleries along the cultural trail. For water sport enthusiasts there is sailing and jet skiing and golfing aficionados can enjoy the nearby Whitstable and Seasalter course or the Chestfield golf clubs or the championship courses at Sandwich if you want to go slightly further afield. There are some good primary schools in the vicinity including Herne Primary rated by Ofsted as Outstanding as well as the Herne Bay High school and a number of excellent secondary grammar and private schools in Canterbury, Thanet and Sandwich”.
