This has always been my family home and has been a wonderful place to grow up.My parents purchased the plot with a derelict old coach house on it in the 1950's and designed a unique home suited to their specific requirements. They were extremely lucky to find a place which has continued to be in a peaceful lane set away from traffic, but still an easy commute into London.My parents wanted a house that would adapt to their needs and it has large open rooms with big windows which allow the light to flood in and fill every part of the house.
People living in the lane do not tend to move very often and there is a good community of neighbours who proved to be very caring as my parents got older.I am immensely proud of the house my parents created.
