THE PROPERTY:
This outstanding home is the epitome of the highly desired but seldom achieved perfect blend of period character with large, light modern interiors, all set in landscaped gardens with an outhouse and plenty of parking in beautiful Cotswold village location.
A stunning dining area with distinctive rooflight links the main cottage to a fabulous kitchen with island and an attractive fifth bedroom or home office approached by a private staircase and with direct access to the lovely rear garden.
The large sitting room has an open fireplace and French windows to a very sheltered private terrace. The third reception could be used as a sixth (ground floor) bedroom and is conveniently located on the opposite side of the hall from the downstairs cloakroom.
Upstairs in the main part of the cottage are four further generous bedrooms. One of these has a wall of fitted wardrobes and would make a fine dressing room. A sumptuous bathroom with separate walk in shower completes the upstairs accommodation.
To the rear is a generous elevated garden with substantial outhouse divided into two areas. To the front is a large paved forecourt providing off street parking for several vehicles.
SITUATION:
Do not be misled by the address! Finstock’ s High Street is a residential road with a high proportion of attractive stone period homes between which are glimpses of the nearby Cotswold countryside.
Finstock is a thriving village on the edge of the Cotswolds served by a village shop /post office in a converted barn as well as a good public house in a picturesque thatched grade 2 building complete with inglenook fireplace and where the local game of Aunt Sally may be played. The Church of England primary school was rated good by OFSTED in 2013 and again in 2018 and has a Foundation Stage Unit for nursery age children.
The larger towns of Charlbury, Woodstock and Witney are all a convenient drive away and offer more extensive, higher order services.
There is a halt on the Hereford to Paddington line just outside the village that has a service in the morning and early evening. More regular services to both the city of Oxford and London may be found at Charlbury (approximately 3.5 miles away with services to Paddington) and Oxford Parkway (approximately 12 miles way with services to Marylebone)

Broadband availability and predicted speed
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
