The property comprises a traditional period Cotswold stone barn, converted to form a well balanced family house with good living space. Of particular note is the large garden room. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor with a further four on the first floor. Adjoining the barn, and with a connecting door, is Shepherds Cottage, a one-bedroom cottage which can be incorporated into the house if required but equally be independently occupied. Field Barn is not Listed.

Field Barn lies amidst open countryside to the south of Cirencester. The nearest village is Driffield, and other local villages include Down Ampney and South Cerney. Cirencester has an excellent range of shops and services including Waitrose, Marks and Spencers Food and Tescos, as well as traditional and specialist shops.

The main regional centres are Cheltenham, Bath, Bristol, Swindon and Oxford, all of which are within daily commuting distance. The A419 dual carriageway is about ½ a mile, for access to junction 15 of the M4 at Swindon. Direct rail services to London Paddington from Kemble (from about 70 minutes) or Swindon (from about 55 minutes).

Ample local sporting opportunities including a number of golf courses and water sports at the Cotswold Water Park. Many equestrian events including polo at Cirencester Park, racing at Cheltenham and Newbury, and Badminton Horse Trials. Gloucestershire is noted for its schools. In the private sector local schools include Pinewood and Beaudesert as well as the Cheltenham Colleges.

Field Barn is approached via electric gates, opening to a long gravelled driveway, past a paddock on your left. There is a substantial Cotswold stone garage block with space for 3 cars and a walk-in wine store. Exterior steps lead up to a large home office. With a shower room and small kitchen this would also make an ideal annexe if required.

The garden has been well maintained and planted and includes two ponds. There is a hard tennis court to the north west of the house.
