“The Savoy” is a holiday retreat like no other. Situated in Walberswick harbour close to the Southwold ferry, this timber property is used by the current owners as a “back to basics” holiday home and offers a separate bedroom, a living area, kitchen, and a stepladder to the loft for additional sleeping and storage. There is an adjacent chemical toilet hut and cylinder gas used for a camping stove and a camping fridge. The property has running water and has been lit by solar lights by the vendor more recently, although in the past gas lamps were used and they are still in situ with their relevant pipework. The property has the rights to two permits for the adjacent car park. Sold on a leasehold basis, there are restrictions on the property being used as a commercial holiday let. Please call for further information for this rare and interesting opportunity. .

One of the Heritage Coast’s most desired villages, Walberswick has a charm that is hard to resist. Set on the South side of the mouth of the River Blyth, looking towards Southwold, the village has a fantastic community, and over the last hundred years it has drawn residents from the arts, film and media with strong links to the English impressionist movement in the late 1800’s. The village offers a well-stocked local shop and two well-regarded public houses; The Anchor and The Bell, which both offer fine food and local ales. On the picturesque village green there is a tea room and shop. Further afield, the Heritage Coast has many fine destinations for a day out with Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh and Dunwich all accessible in a short drive. The area has some beautiful beaches and offers stunning walks through the local nature reserves, with a pedestrian footbridge leading to Southwold itself. By car the A12 connects to the M25 and beyond. Train services to London Liverpool Street can be found at either Halesworth or Darsham.
