The property

Grade II* Listed and dating from the 17th Century with later 18th Century additions, Glendon Hall was divided into four separate dwellings in the 1970’s. The handsome West Wing occupies a prominent position on the South West facade of Glendon Hall. The wing is brick built with a Collyweston roof and has many beautiful period features including 16th Century column and pediment windows which originated from Pytchley Hall.

The front door opens into a lovely light entrance hall with oak flooring. To the left is a cloakroom and stairs rise ahead. To the right is the Drawing room, thought to be the original Music room of Glendon Hall. This has impressively high ceilings, beautiful architrave, tapestry rails, an original working fireplace and wood panelled sash windows with stunning views of the garden and countrside beyond. Across the hall is the spacious kitchen dining room with oak floor and sash windows. The kitchen dining room is well thought out and fitted with painted pine units with melamine worktops and an electric Leisure Rangemaster. Returning to the hall; stairs descend to a large dry cellar providing great storage space.

Stairs rise to the first floor which has a spacious triple aspect master bedroom, a second large double bedroom with walk in cupboard, a smaller single bedroom and a family bathroom. Two more large double bedrooms and a bathroom can be found on the second floor and complete the accommodation.

The West Wing has a Share of Freehold. A management committee, consisting of the four owners of the main house, runs the communal areas and individual owners have responsibility for the upkeep of their own parts of the building and gardens.

Location

Glendon Hall is discreetly positioned behind high estate walls just to the north of Kettering. Transport links are exceptional with the A43, A14 and A6 all nearby and enabling access across the region. The A1 and M1 are equidistant and both within easy reach. Nearby, Kettering Station has a high speed train service to London St Pancras which takes from 49 minutes.

Additionally, there is a wealth of excellent schooling within the region. Local preparatory schools include Maidwell Hall, Spratton Hall and Bilton Grange. Public schools include Rugby, Oundle and Uppingham.
