Planning History
Two planning Enforcement Notices (EN) were served in respect of this site in 2016, they were appealed against and Public Inquiry was held on 13th June 2017. The Decisions were issued on 8th August 2017One EN ref APP/R3325/C/16/3153643 related to the erection of a two storey timber clad building without planning permission and required the removal of the building and all associated materials and domestic paraphernalia associated with that building within various set timescales. The appeal was dismissed and the EN upheld. The site was inspected on 4th February 2022 and it was observed that the building and associated materials had been removed as required. The other EN ref APP/R3325/C/16/3153642 related to the change of use of land from agricultural to residential without planning permission and required that residential use of the land ceases and all domestic paraphrenia be removed. The appeal was upheld and the EN quashed, so no longer applies. So the lawful residential use of the land as a separate single planning unit had become lawful over the time since first occupation in 2003 and continuously since, so has become immune from enforcement action. The buildings existing on the site at the time of the appeals were not subject to the above ENs and remain in situ at the time of the 2022 site visit.Full details of the appeal decisions will be available on the SSDC Planning Website.
