Description

A beautifully presented Grade II listed period home, full of charm and character. Of particular note is the rear garden, which has the most beautiful views over the surrounding countryside.

An entrance porch features original quarry tiling which extends into the charming sitting room, with an inglenook fireplace and an open fire, exposed beams and French doors on to the outside terrace area. Overlooking the garden to the rear, the kitchen/dining room, with underfloor heating, is a fabulous space, with room for a large table and French doors to the garden. There is an excellent range of units, with an integrated double oven, hob, extractor and dishwasher, complemented by stone worktops. The kitchen benefits from a walk-in pantry for additional storage, and a utility room with space and plumbing for appliances. A characterful family room has views over the frontage, together with a feature fireplace and a gas fire. Just off this room is a shower room and stairs to the first floor.

On the first floor the principal bedroom enjoys a dual aspect, with exposed beams, feature fireplace and beautiful original wood flooring. This room also has a fully fitted dressing room. There are two further bedrooms, one with wood flooring and a feature fireplace, and one to the rear with stunning far reaching views, A beautifully appointed bathroom, fitted with a freestanding cast iron bath, completes the accommodation on this floor.

Outside
A gravelled driveway provides off street parking and leads to a garage with an adjoining workshop. The rear garden is a real feature of the property, beautifully landscaped, with stunning open countryside views. There is a large expanse of lawn with wide borders, planted with a host of shrubs and flowers. An attractive terrace area adjoins the rear of the house providing the perfect space for outside dining and entertaining. There is access to the garage and workshop, with a wood store to the side. From the terrace, steps lead down to the lawn area, and nestled in the far corner is a further raised patio area, giving an ideal spot to relax and make the most of the beautiful views.
