Description
Built about 27 years ago and now equipped to contemporary standards, the high specification house is dominated by its totally absorbing views. Set high (about 60 metres) above sea level it is the elevation of the property that provides it with such breath-taking outlook which extends to the Eddystone Lighthouse on the horizon, to the hillsides of South East Cornwall including the twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, Fort Picklecombe and the wooded hillsides of Mount Edgcumbe, and to Drakes Island and the mouth of the Tamar. Plymouth’s mile long breakwater is directly in front of the property. This stretch of water is constantly distracting with its passage of leisure and military craft, the regular voyage of the Brittany Ferry to Roscoff in Northern France and Santander in Spain, together with the start or finish of many international yacht races including the Transat, Fastnet, and also in recent years The America’s Cup.

Location
The location is little known, approached by a no through road and then accessed by a private crescent this location is well away from passing traffic. The nearby village of Down Thomas includes The Mussel Inn, a Post Office/general stores and a community centre, while further facilities lie on the nearby suburb of Plymstock. This is the very westernmost portion of the South Hams, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The facilities of Plymouth are readily accessible, including a modern shopping centre, the renowned Theatre Royal, Plymouth University, regional Hospital, historic waterfront, Barbican and the Hoe. For sailing enthusiasts facilities include the various marinas around the waterfront of the city and closer to the property the Plymouth Yacht Haven at Mount Batten.
