The Landlord’s of the site are the Enrolled Freeman of Grimsby, a charity organisation whose roots are believed to date back to the 11th Century.
The Enrolled Freemen of Grimsby aim to support the redevelopment of the central area of Grimsby, with a strong passion in bringing the latest technological innovations to the Grimsby area.
A major development in the Enrolled Freemen’s vision of redevelopment came when they were granted total ownership of a part-dilapidated section of Freeman Street following a High Court ruling in 2018.
The vacant half of the site was subsequently demolished and in part forms the land currently on offer. The adjacent site houses the recently completed (2021) YMCA which saw a substantial £8.5 million investment providing a housing and community development including purpose-built spaces for training, activities, conferences and meeting facilities available for public use.
