Description

Rose Cottage is situated in a peaceful, rural location and is believed to date from the 1800’s with later additions. The property has been extensively re-furbished and updated to provide excellent, light living spaces perfectly suited for modern family living.

Internally the property offers a wonderful kitchen/family room with a central island and French doors leading onto a west facing terrace which overlooks the garden and grounds. There is a lovely sitting room with wood burning stove, beyond which there is a study with vaulted ceiling. The property also offers a large utility/boot room providing extensive practical space.

There are four bedrooms, all of which have fitted storage. The Principal bedroom has a luxurious en suite, while there are two further bath/shower rooms.

The property is approached via a five bar gate which leads to a large gravelled parking area and provides access to the stables and garage. There is a further parking space above the cottage. The attractive west-facing garden is mainly laid to lawn with a variety of trees and shrubs.

There are 5 stables, including a foaling box with a fan cooling system, tack room, hay barn, feed store plus a flood lit, Charles Britton outdoor school with a sand and rubber mix. There is an all weather turn out paddock which allows all year turn out without ruining the grass areas. The paddock measures 10m x30m, and has a felt sand mix surface, excellent draining system and an automatic water trough and can also be used as additional exercise area if required. Plus fenced grass paddocks. There is hacking directly from the house onto the Common and byway.

Outside, the generous parking area leads to a brick built double garage with water and electricity - subject to planning it may be possible to convert this to additional accommodation if required.
