Situation
Formakin Estate is situated in rolling West Renfrewshire countryside within close proximity of the neighbouring villages of Bishopton, Houston and Kilmacolm.

Formakin House is set amid extensive parkland grounds and around the main house there are some 6 acres of manicured formal gardens. The formal gardens were greatly influenced by Gertrude Jekyll’s work at Munstead Wood in Surrey. They include the Walled Garden, Fountain Garden, Oriental gardens and Orchard with the “lovers walk” themed love heart stone pathways. The estate includes further park land including a site of special scientific interest, recreational woodland and pastureland.

Bishopton has local shops and services which adequately cater for everyday needs and requirements.

There is local primary and secondary schooling in the district and at Kilmacolm is the independent St Columba’s with its enviable record of academic achievement, in addition, Glasgow has several excellent independent schools.

The Braehead and Silverburn retail villages are around 11 miles and 13 miles respectively to the east and south east and there one can find a tremendous range of high street multiples together with M&S and Sainsbury anchor stores. Braehead also has an IKEA furniture store.

Glasgow at 15 miles has all the cultural, higher educational and leisure services associated with a major international centre.

Junction 31 on the M8 motorway is close by and provides good access to the city and the coastal towns. Bishopton has a mainline railway station with a frequent service to and from the city. Glasgow Airport is only 7 miles to the east and offers domestic and international flights.

Surrounding countryside is some of the most attractive in West Renfrewshire and for the outdoor enthusiast this is fine walking country.

The acclaimed Ingliston Country Club and Hotel has gained an excellent reputation in the equestrian world together with its hotel and restaurant dining.

The Firth of Clyde has excellent chandlery and marina services at Greenock, Inverkip, Largs and Ardrossan as well as some of the UK’s most scenic and enjoyable coastal sailing.

Historical Note
The Formakin Estate was formed by Paisley stockbroker, John Augustus Holmes and Sir Robert Lorimer. Places of interest

The business model of Estate Agency and Lettings distribution has changed, no longer do people pour over local papers searching for their dream home; no longer do they need to look in estate agents' windows or queue to discuss search criteria with estate agency or lettings receptionists. In recognising this, we have changed too, we have evolved to develop an efficient business model which pro-actively distributes property globally via our well managed database and digitally via the world wide web. Good systems are important to us, however, Estate & Lettings Agency is a people business, our people have been carefully selected for their scope of property and customer interfacing expertise. We recruit intelligent, clear thinking and articulate property professionals. The team has an average of 20 years’ experience in the industry and we are proud to have been behind some of the most high profile and often complex sales and property asset management deals in the West of Scotland. At Robb Residential we can’t say we are the largest firm, we’re not. At Robb Residential, we can’t say we are the smallest firm; we’re not. Our point of difference lies in our people and in the delivery of service excellence. The Robb Residential team owns and shares in its commitment to delivering that service excellence, and so what we can say with a measure of assured confidence is that we will be the best.

Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
