The Clent Hills and Kinver Edge are close by and offer great scope for walking and riding, with much of the area under the control of The National Trust.

Blakedown dates back to the Medieval times, has a range of amenities including a village butcher, grocer, local store and two pubs.

Close by, one of the largest ancient woodlands in the country, the Wyre Forest is a designated SSSI and National Nature Reserve, offering forest walks and cycle trails.

Overlooking the nearby village of Kinver is the impressive Kinver Edge, a sandstone ridge covering 300 acres and offering long distant views of the surrounding area. Also close by
