The local area is a haven for those preferring a more relaxed pace of life away from the bustle of city living.  Sapey Golf Club was established in 1990 as an 18 hole course occupying a site of 35 hectares (86 acres). A 9 hole par 3 golf course was added in 1999 on a further 9 hectares (22 acres) of adjoining land.
