Why you’ll like it:
Built during the 1970s, these attractive low-rise developments have been sensitively blended into their green surroundings. The leafy environs of Hove Park are on the doorstep, and the grounds themselves offer a pretty and private outlook for the residents. A sweeping drive leads to the upper buildings where this flat resides on the ground floor. An entry phone provides access and stepping inside it is clear this is a spacious and naturally light apartment. The entrance hall is particularly wide and welcoming with a vast amount of storage within two built-in cupboards to house coats, shoes and household items.
The first double bedroom is a very large double room with space for a king size bed and freestanding bedroom furnishings. There are further wardrobes built-in which maximise the space further and the wide picture window brings in plenty of natural light while framing private garden views. Bedroom two is another double room looking out over leafy environs, and both are double glazed to ensure a truly warm and restful night’s sleep.
Along the hall, the bathroom is simply designed in white with a bathtub and hand basin, with the WC in a separate room adjoining. This is preferable for some, but it would also be possible to knock-through during renovations to create one generous bathroom space.
The generous proportions continue in the living room which has a wide box bay window almost covering the southerly wall, offering the perfect space for a dining table and chairs. There is ample space elsewhere for comfortable furnishings and the neutral decoration of wood flooring and white walls will suit all styles.
Nearby, the kitchen is in need of complete modernisation, but the space available is excellent, allowing for plenty if storage and freestanding appliances.
The garden is accessible from the communal hallway and is soon to be in full spring bloom, creating a lovely backdrop to the rooms. With the park on your doorstep, however, you will not be short of outside space to stretch your legs during the warmer weather.
Agent’s thoughts:
There is so much potential for modernisation in these apartments as they offer plenty of space and well-proportioned rooms. This property also comes with a fantastic 900-year lease, and all leaseholders also become a member of the Management Company, so it is a real gem in the city.
Owner’s thoughts:
“This has been a really successful rental property for me for many years. The location and size of the Gannet House apartments ensures they are never sat empty and they work well for families, professionals and the older generations. There is a real sense of community here which also ensures people stay long term.”

Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on December 24, 2021
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on September 28, 2020 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
