Description

14B High Street is a characterful three bedroom home, located in the heart of Watlington. Positioned on the High Street, it is within close proximity of all local amenities. Originally dating from the 17th century, this Grade II listed building enjoys accommodation over 3 floors, above and behind a small shop and has retained many of its charming period features.

A private gated entrance to the side of the building leads to the front door. Inside, a utility area/boot room is complete with overhead storage cupboards, a sink, washing machine, dryer and an adjacent cloakroom. A step leads down into the open plan kitchen/dining area which retains its old beamed ceiling and original paned window with natural light from the rear garden.

From the hallway, stairs lead up to the first floor landing which retains its traditional wood paneled walls in painted tongue and groove. The largest of the two front rooms here comprises an elegant sitting room with high ceilings, original beams and double sash windows overlooking the historic High Street. The exposure of the original timber frame on the back wall is a particular feature. The smaller front room with a single sash window provides a spacious double bedroom with a timber feature wall and small Victorian fireplace.

The rest of the first floor is made up of a second double bedroom and family bathroom. From the landing a quaint winding wooden stairway leads to the top of the house where part of the attic holds a third bedroom or study complete with original beams and timbers.

Outside
At the back of the utility area/boot room a French door gives onto a courtyard garden with an original brick and flint wall with a raised bed and a brick garden shed. Private parking is also available to rent behind the back of the High Street, contact the office for further details.

Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
