Key information
Features and description
The Land
The land measures approximately 0.98 acres (0.39
ha) and is conveniently situated next to Addingham
Cricket Club on the edge of the sought after village
of Addingham and within easy reach of the larger
centres of Ilkley, Skipton and Keighley.
The land for sale has two gated entrances onto
Main Street which were the former ‘in’ and ‘out’
accesses to the forecourt when the previous use
of the site was as a petrol filling station.
The site is now bare and somewhat overgrown
with self-seeding trees and bushes, but a few
indicators of its previous use remain visible.
Planning History
There is an extant permission on the site that
includes the erection of a motel and filling
station, which was first granted back in 1996.
Subsequently, permission had been granted
to amend the approved scheme in 2004 and
2010. The grant of Planning Permission was
given by the City of Bradford Metropolitan
District Council on the 20th April 2010 with the
reference number; 04/05593/FUL. The original
permission to build (established in 1996) is now
preserved in perpetuity and has the reference
number; 96/02752/FUL.
A more recent application was submitted
for residential development of the site under
reference 17/05708/FUL for the erection of 8
dwellings. This application was subsequently
refused at Appeal on the basis of principle.
