Description

Hunters is Grade II Listed, being of special architectural or historical importance and believed to date from the 17th century with 16th century origins. The property is constructed from a timber frame and is painted in a deep terracotta lime-wash, under a peg tile roof. The property retains a wealth of original features including; exposed timbers, a red brick floor and panelling in the entrance hall as well as mullion and sash windows.

The current owners have sympathetically renovated the property to a high standard throughout, cleverly blending period features with contemporary design, resulting in a delightfully eclectic home. The entrance hall leads through to a spacious, light-filled open-plan sitting room and dining room. The room also enjoys an open fireplace set within an impressive inglenook.

The rear of the house accommodates the kitchen which comprises, open shelving above stainless steel units over which lies green marble and wooden worktops. There is also a Smeg range with gas hob and a larder cupboard. The breakfast room and snug are next to the kitchen on one side with the utility space and cloakroom on the other.

Doors open out on to the terrace from the breakfast room and large windows run along the length of the house filling the property with natural light throughout the day. The large study is located at the front of the property accessed via the inner hallway and secondary staircase. The first floor is reached via a handsome, wide staircase giving access to five bedrooms all are served by a shared bathroom, a second shower room, and a separate WC.

Outside
The walled garden has a high degree of privacy and seclusion with a wide terrace running along the length of the house and a raised patio, perfect for al fresco dining. The garden is mainly laid to lawn with well stocked borders and a kitchen garden area through a brick archway. At the bottom of the garden is a useful garage space and workshop, currently utilised as a studio space. A private parking area has room for two cars and an electric charging point.
