INTRODUCTION
Stuart Lodge is a stunning Villa situated on the edge of Chelston, offering easy access to local shops, nearby beaches and scenic coastal walks.  The Villa has been extensively re-modelled and renovated to an exceptionally high standard by the current owners.  Offering 8,731 square foot of accommodation this certainly is a highly adaptable home to suit a multitude of requirements.  Either as a family home, a house with multi-generational living opportunities or a potential income stream there really is something for everyone.  The property clearly divides into three sections with the main house forming the vast majority of accommodation and there is a large first floor two bedroom apartment and one bedroom ground floor apartment, both with their own private entrances.

The Villa overall, exemplifies attention to detail with exceptional high levels of insulation, a luxury bespoke kitchen and seven new en suite bedrooms with bathroom/shower rooms plus two en suite toilets.   Three of the large bedroom suites each have extensive dressing room areas.  The Villa has been completely re-wired with Cat 5 wiring throughout and there is an EV charging point outside as well as a 'low maintenance' synthetic lawn to both the front and rear gardens.  Pleasant views towards Torquay Harbour can be enjoyed from the front garden and sun room and there are water views from various rooms to the first floor level.

Stuart Lodge is a unique home in a fabulous location.  Despite its size, there is a warmth and flow to the property which can only be appreciated by it being viewed.

STEP INSIDE
On entering the property there is very little indication of the size and versatility that this home offers. From its grand porch and hallway there is a beautifully tiled hallway with access to both the main receptions and the self contained ground floor annex.

In total there are five reception rooms.  The main three radiate around a fantastic kitchen / breakfast room and there is access to the front garden.  The sitting room leads into a light and spacious sun room and there is a separate dining room and study room to the far side of the hallway.  Undoubtedly, the two main rooms to this level are the aforementioned kitchen and an extraordinary drawing room.  The Kitchen is completely new and provides a comprehensive range of base level and wall mounted units with integrated appliances that include two double width ovens, three warming drawers, a six ring induction hob, two dishwashers and an instant hot water tap.  However, perhaps the stand out feature is the sizeable granite worktop, imported from Italy and custom made to fit.  A short way from the kitchen is a utility room and there is also a linen room and downstairs wc.  The drawing room is cavernous in size and perfect for family living.  Its curved wood ceiling is a wonderful, beautifully restored feature and remains from its previous time when it was an indoor pool.  To the rear of this room is a useful store and to the side an extensive study are which has in the past been a gymnasium.  The ground floor annex has its own entrance and provides a double bedroom with dressing area, en suite facilities and a pleasant dual aspect reception.

The first and second floor levels provide a number of bedrooms all with en suite facilities.  In total there are six bedrooms, two of which are in the large first floor annex and the remaining four are in the main section of the house.  The annex can be integrated into the main part of the house should one wish or completely separated off as it has its own private entrance to the rear of the house.  Again, all fixtures fittings and appliances are brand new.  The stand out room must be the wonderful master bedroom with its sea views, twin dressing rooms and en suite facilities.

STEP OUTSIDE
There are two sections to the garden that Villa Stuart offers, both are completely level, enclosed and provide ease of maintenance with its artificial grass.  The front garden links beautifully with the kitchen and dining areas and provides some pleasing views.  The main garden however, is situated to the rear of the property and provides a larger 'family friendly' area and includes a stunning 200 year old olive tree.  There is a useful outside store and there is direct access to a large parking area for numerous vehicles.  The access to this is from the side of the property and there is also a right of access over the neighbouring parking area into this one.

LOCATION
Stuart Lodge affords a pleasant, elevated position off Rousdown Road, with some pleasant Bay views from the front aspect of the property and first floor level in particular. This exceptional Villa offers easy access into Chelston's shops, Torquay town centre, the harbour and the Royal Torbay Yacht Club. There are wonderful, level walks along the coast with a variety of sandy beaches, attractive headlands and Torre Abbey Meadows surrounding the historic Abbey. Cockington Village & Country Park is also within a short drive or walk from the house. Torquay town centre is around a mile away and offers an excellent variety of established shops, amenities and restaurants. Torquay Railway station is also a very short walk from the property. Trains connect the main Penzance to Paddington line at Newton Abbot with train time to London taking around 2 hours 45 minutes from there. For internal or external flights, Exeter Airport is 28 miles away taking around 45 minutes via the South Devon Expressway to Exeter.
