First time on the market for approximately 100 years. A rare opportunity to purchase a terrace of four tenanted cottages, situated in the quiet hamlet of Hampton. The cottages are constructed of Cotswold stone elevations under slate roofs with PVCu double glazed windows. Three of the cottages are let on periodic Assured Shorthold tenancies and the fourth tenancy is covered by the 1977 Rent Act legislation.
The four cottages are built of natural stone elevations with red brick detail, front porches and rear extensions and the roofs are all slate. Nos. 4, 5 and 6 have two bedrooms, with bathrooms on the first floor; No.7 has three bedrooms with a shower room on the ground floor. The two centre cottages (No. 5 and 6) each have a lean-to workshop/store to the rear.
OUTSIDE
Occupants of the cottages have a pedestrian and vehicular right of way along the gravel track across the front of the terrace, which also serves the neighbouring properties. There are no dedicated parking spaces for the cottages, but an area at the end of the track is used by the residents on a first-come-first-served basis. Nos. 4, 5, and 6 all have small front gardens, whereas No. 7 has a much larger garden, wrapping around the end of the terrace, with vehicular access from the gravel track.
In 2014/2015 the owner gave his verbal permission for the tenants of the cottages to use his land directly to the rear of the cottages for growing fruit and vegetables. all the tenants took up the offer and have been using the land ever since.
LOCATION
The peaceful hamlet of Hampton is situated just off the B4019 approximately a mile from the centre of Highworth, seven miles north of the centre of Swindon and seven miles northwest of M4 Junction 15. To find the properties, take the B4019 from Broad Blunsdon and continue towards Highworth. Just before the road goes up the hill into Highworth, take the left hand turn into Hampton and continue through Hampton until you see the terrace of cottages on your right.

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on March 5, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on March 5, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
