The space is full of light with each main room benefitting from the floor to ceiling windows. The showstopper for us is the living/kitchen/dining space. It is the perfect family room in the day but it then transforms into a fabulous entertaining space in the evening which then spills out onto the balcony. Oh and the balcony; a sun trap benefitting from the sun all afternoon until sunset. Our plants do incredibly well there!
In terms of the location, we couldn't ask for better. Camberwell is full of incredible restaurants (Theos Pizza and Noko Asian Street Food are favourites), cafes, pubs and shops plus there are plans in place for further development of the shopping centre to include a cinema!
Burgess Park is a stone's throw away offering 3 cafes, tennis courts, a lake, weekly park run and some woods. A welcome break from the busy city.
We are just 15 minutes from Elephant and Castle, Peckham, Dulwich and Brixton all accessed by bus or nearby Denmark Hill station. We have plenty of secure bike storage as well as Electric Vehicle charging points within the secure car park/courtyard.
The flat has also given us a wonderful home for our now 2 year old daughter and has been perfect for our growing family. The bonus of a lift in the block means we have had a stress free experience of having to navigate a baby in a pram! Adding to this are our wonderful neighbours in the block as well as the rest of the development. We all know and help each other and even share a WhatsApp group.
We have been spoilt for choice for our daughter: there are parent groups and activities, multiple play parks, the leisure centre hosting "Tiny Gym" and swimming lessons, the South London Gallery and we are short bus rides to both Tate galleries and the wonderful Horniman Museum. Our development itself also offers a secure gated courtyard with mini play area. In the summer it's wonderful to see the children from the other flats all playing together.
We honestly couldn't have been happier here and have made some really special memories in our Camberwell flat.
