The Property:
West Meadow is an attractive detached house with origins dating back at least 200 years and more recent additions.
Originally a pair of farm workers cottages, it was built in a traditional style of Cotswold stone under a natural stone tiled roof and the two substantial extensions, added to the south and east elevations, are in matching materials.
The accommodation is both light and spacious and arranged over three floors, extending to just over 3,000 sq ft in total. The majority of the windows are double glazed and the house is not listed but it does lie within a conservation area.

The Cottage
Across the gravel drive from the main house is the cottage. This three bedroom detached cottage has a private courtyard garden and separate parking from the main house.
The current owners have extended and remodelled the property to create excellent secondary accommodation which could be let out on a long or short term tenancies to generate an income.

Gardens and paddock:
The house is approached off a quiet village lane via a shared access leading to a private car parking and turning area.
The garden and peaceful setting are particularly attractive feature of the property and extends to about an acre in total. The house is on the southfacing slope of a shallow wooded valley and has been terraced in the past into three different levels separated by Cotswold stone retaining walls.
Beyond the garden is a lovely paddock which can be accessed by a tack to the side of the garden. There is an arrangement of outbuildings and garaging across the driveway from the main house.

West Meadow is quietly situated on the edge of Lower Chedworth in a gentle valley with lovely views. Chedworth itself is a highly sought-after village with a thriving community surrounded by magnificent countryside in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Unlike many of our villages, Chedworth retains a number of facilities including a village hall, tennis courts, an excellent primary school and a pub, The Seven Tuns. There are two other pubs within walking distance. Northleach is about 4 miles away with shops for everyday needs and the larger market towns of Cirencester and Stow-on-the-Wold between them provide more extensive shopping and recreational facilities. There are a number of excellent schools in the vicinity, including the highly regarded Cotswold School in Bourton-on-the-Water, Rendcomb Collage (3 miles) and all the schools in Cheltenham. Leisure facilities in the area include Golf at Burford, Naunton Downs and the nearby Cirencester Golf Club at Bagendon; racing at Cheltenham; rugby at Gloucester; and water sports at the Cotswold Waterpark. The surrounding countryside has many footpaths and bridleways, providing a wide range of walking and riding opportunities.
