3 bedroom detached house
Key information
Property description & features
- Tenure: Freehold
- Beautiful condition
- Three bedrooms
- Ensuite to master
- Conservatory / garden room
- South facing garden
- Garage and driveway
The home itself has enjoyed many improvements and adaptations over the years the best of which for me was to open up the kitchen into the original dining room giving you a super open plan kitchen / diner. If you like to entertain, it really is a fantastic space, you can even spill from here into the conservatory which in itself has become more of a usable room all year round with the addition of an insulated roof. Both the ensuite shower room and family bathroom have enjoyed upgrades to keep with the modern trend, the windows and exterior doors have all been replaced as well to further enhance the look and practicality of the home. All in all this is a wonderful home that is a real credit to the owners, it allows the next lucky owner to just move in and enjoy life in Torrington.
Like most of Great Torrington this lovely home is on the fringes of Torrington Commons, 365 acres of countryside allowing for miles of scenic walks with access to the locally renowned Tarka trail, a footpath / cycle way mainly built on the bed of a disused railway where the gradients are gentle. It winds its way following the course of the river Torridge as far North as Ilfracombe or going inland South towards Meeth.
Ticking boxes aside, it is in my experience that the feel of the home is what will make you buy it. Only by visiting the house you will know if it is "the one". I strongly urge you to take the time to experience it for yourself and would love the opportunity to meet with you there to help embed what you see on paper in the flesh.
Directions
From Torrington take the B3227 signposted to South Molton and after passing Great Torrington Secondary School on your left hand side take the first left hand turning into Kingsmead Drive. Upon entering the development bear right into Fairfax Way, keeping right where the property will be found a short distance along on the right hand side with number plate clearly displayed.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on July 19, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on July 19, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on June 21, 2023 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
Any supplementary data should not be relied upon as forming part of any property particulars and OnTheMarket cannot be held responsible for any incorrectness in this data. See here for more information.
