One of Brighton’s finest addresses in the Village with independent shops, cafés and bars on your doorstep but out of hearing, this beautiful apartment was once part of Clarges Hotel, owned and lived in by Brighton actor Dora Bryan. With an imposing entrance, this bow fronted beauty with a large, south facing terrace is a delight with spectacular views inside and out, and it is set back from the coast road behind greenery and 1st come car park – although there is plentiful permit parking with no waiting list.
Inside the elegant reception embraces glorious views, where triple windows reach from lushly carpeted floor to soaring ceiling to bring in the Sussex sunshine and frame the ever changing sea, and all three open to a spacious south facing terrace, ideal for entertaining where friends can relax in the Sussex sunshine and enjoy the atmosphere only a prime, seafront location in a Regency building can provide. Inside, the reception is a room to enjoy come rain or shine with views to inspire even whilst seated and an original frieze overhead, and the ample floorspace provides 24’11 x 17’6 (7.61m x 5.34m) in which to work, rest or play.
Tucked away behind ionic columns, the discrete kitchen is a modern classic with a practical layout and plenty of storage as well as working surfaces. Good to go, everything flows from a central hob and oven, and plumbing is in place for a washing machine.
Through a stylish hallway with a chic guest cloakroom, the principal bedroom is light and airy with a graceful bay window, restful dimensions, and calm décor. An ornate ceiling rose awaits a chandelier, fitted wardrobes provide organised storage and the en-suite bathroom is large enough for a bath with an electric shower above it, and is decorated in the colours of the sea.

Owner’s secret:
"We fell in love with this stately Regency building and the beautiful, light and spacious rooms which are relaxing and easy to live in. Grade II listed, it is well-maintained. We have enjoyed the terrace where friends and family love to sit in the sunshine and watch the sea, or entertaining inside when the fantastic electric storms are a dramatic backdrop for winter suppers! We have loved it here with so much on offer -spending time on the beach, strolling around the village shops, or walking into Brighton for the theatre. We shall miss the views and our lovely neighbours and hope you enjoy it here as much as we have.”

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on December 21, 2021
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
