The property is located in Peacocks which is in the Katherines area of Harlow. A quiet are, this property has the added advantage of being situated in a 'cul-de-sac spur' of Peacocks, so it is even quieter. Parking, which can sometimes be a problem in Harlow, is not problem here as 1. This property comes with an integral garage & 2. there is easy parking outside.
The property is an extended 3 bedroom terraced property.
You enter via a front porch which is attached not only to the house but to the garage. Therefore there is a door from the garage straight into the house, so NO MORE GETTING WET OR COLD! Especially when I tell you that the garage has an electronically operated door! Splendid!
It is true to say that this property whilst in extremely good condition, could do with a little bit of TLC and a little modernisation. Having said that, there is absolutely no reason why you cannot move into the property and do what needs to be done litlle by little as everything is in fine working order etc.
The lounge / dining area is open plan and is large!
It has dark wood effect laminate flooring , there is a large window overlooking the front of the property and to the rear there are double doors that lead into the rear garden. The Lounge area currently houses tow sofas and an armchair, so you can see there is plenty of space. The dining area currently houses a 6 seater dining table and chairs plus some cabinets etc. and there is still plenty of room.
The kitchen is not the biggest kitchen in the world BUT, it has a free standing gas oven & hob, a dishwasher and washing machine, lots of cupboard and drawer space and nice work surfaces. There is a stainless steel sink and drainer and when the extension was put on, some clever person left the space where the window used to be so that it gets lots of natural light!
The extension which was done on both floors. This means there is extra space the other side of the kitchen and the current owner has put a small table and chairs where you can sit and look out onto the garden. This area also houses the brand new boiler.
The garden is accessed via double patio doors off of the dining area.
It is true to say that the garden is small. However, not everyone wants a large garden and this garden is extremely low maintenance. There is a large garden shed that could be utilised for storage or even replaced with home office etc.
It is well worth noting that there is a back gate that leads directly onto a large field where dogs are walked and children play which is a massive bonus.
Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms and the family bathroom.
Bedroom 1 is a large double that benefits from the extension. It has fitted carpet and a large window that overlooks the rear garden and the large field behind the property.
Bedroom 2 is a good size double and also has fitted carpet and a large window that overlooks the front of the property.
Bedroom 3 is a single bedroom and again has fitted carpet and a large window to the front of the house.
The family bathroom is large as the extension comes into play. It consists of a bathtub, walk in shower, WC & Washbasin as well as a handy storage cupboard. You may want to carry out some modernisation here, although once again, everything is in perfectly good working order.
In conclusion, we have here a delightful 3 bedroom home which is perfect for a first time buyer or indeed for someone who is down sizing.
Close to good schools and in easy reach of the Town Centre etc. this property is going to make someone a lovely home. The current owner has lived here for quite a while now. She has been very happy living in Peacocks, but the time is right for her to start a new chapter in her life, which allows a lucky family the chance to make a fabulous family home.

Places of interest

We have offices throughout Hertfordshire & Essex, and as we are both Herts & Essex men, and have both been “round the block” a few times, we have a vast knowledge of not just the Herts & Essex property market, but the actual towns, villages, and hamlets in which we work. This we believe is vital! We got together a few years ago & formed Town & Country Herts & Essex, and we opened our first shop/office in Harlow, which today is our main HQ. We decided from day one that this had to be an ESTATE AGENCY WITH A DIFFERENCE. We listened to what people had to say about their bad experiences with other companies, and put together a structure that has proved extremely successful. What you now have is a truly local Estate Agency that is working not only for the people of Herts & Essex, but for the local communities as well. JUKES ESTATE AGENTS SPONSOR SEVERAL SCHOOLS, JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUBS, AND LOCAL CHARITIES THROUGHOUT BOTH COUNTIES! Our ethos is to never use the “dubious and/or dated” methods used by many of our contemporaries. Therefore, you will get: Accurate valuations, superb marketing, and a customer service model that we are sure is second to none! WE ONLY TAKE ON A LIMITED AMOUNT OF PROPERTY so that we can guarantee we can give you the service you and your home deserves! Therefore, when you use Jukes Estate Agents, you will deal with one of the owners. Someone who genuinely cares about every client. Someone who will be with you every step of the way from Valuation to Completion of Sale!
