The development
A new development of 27 one bedroom and 35 two bedroom apartments for the over 70's. There is a Homeowners lounge and restaurant/dining room which is catered 7 days a week by a "bistro" kitchen serving food as well as hot and cold soft drinks and alcoholic drinks. The communal areas offer Wi-Fi as well as a range of activities including pop up shops and walk in sessions. Sunny communal gardens and allocated parking add additional comfort as do the intercom system, emergency pull cord alert systems and lifts. For family and friends visiting there is a "hotel style" guest suite.
The area
Rugby's economy is mainly industrial and distribution. It is an engineering centre and has a long history of producing gas and steam turbines at the GEC and at the AEI. The AEI was earlier British Thomson-Houston or BTH. They used to dominate employment in the town. They are now amalgamated to form Alstom. Engineering in Rugby is still the most important sector. There are three new retail parks, "Elliot's Field" which is leisure and fashion centric, "Junction One" which has a 9 screen cinema and several shops and fast food outlets. "Technology Drive" is mainly home stores and DIY based. Elliot's Field has launched a second phase with more big names to compliment the existing retailers.
Continued
Rugby is credited as the town that gave the inspiration for the modern Olympic Games, the invention of the laser, hologram and jet engine and enjoys a growing tourism economy as the council and other partners increase the promotion and marketing of the town which is the fastest growing in the West Midlands. London is only 54 minutes away by (non-stop) train, and the town is excellently positioned for the M1, M6 and A5 as well as the A45, A46 and DIRFT.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on December 23, 2022 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
