Some words from the current owners

‘We have owned Percy Avenue for 8 years and have really enjoyed bringing up our young family in this wonderful property. Being a stone’s throw from the beautiful, secluded Botany Bay beach has been an absolute delight for both us and our children, and many happy hours have been spent here exploring the rock pools, going for walks or playing in the sand and sea.

The location and period features are what drew us to the property initially. We love the original fireplaces and the high ceilings which give a sense of spaciousness. On a bright day, the rooms radiate with the sunlight streaming through. The small balcony overlooking the garden is
a favourite area of ours, relaxing and enjoying a glass of wine in the evening is just lovely!

The versatile layout appealed to us very much, and many friends and family have stayed with us over the years to enjoy all that Broadstairs and the surrounding areas have to offer. There are so many beaches, restaurants and bars to discover and our whole family have embraced the seaside lifestyle.

The Botany Bay Hotel is just at the end of the road and is a great place to have a meal or enjoy a drink on the outdoor terrace overlooking the sea. Dreamland is a short 10-minute drive or taxi ride away and hosts some of the biggest names in entertainment. Last year saw Tom Jones, The Human League and Ollie Murs, to name but a few, grace the stage.

We are very happy to class our neighbours as friends. There is a real sense of community in Percy Avenue with everyone looking out for each other. One thing you will notice is how friendly and courteous everyone is here, wishing you a good morning or afternoon.

We are very fortunate to have been able to move up the property ladder into a detached property (still in Thanet), but Percy Avenue will always have a fond place in our hearts with so many happy memories made here. I’m sure whoever the future occupiers are, they will be as happy as we have been, living here for many years to come.’
