Berkeley Meadows is a new and exciting holiday park conveniently situated in the Worcestershire countryside between Worcester and Pershore. The park is committed to holidaying 12 months of the year, making us always open. There is plenty of parking for you and your guests.
The park sits on the north end of the famous Vale of Evesham blossom trail which is a forty-mile circular drive, AA signed from mid-March to mid-May. The park is also close to the equally famous Elgar route leading from Elgar’s early home in Martley around Worcester and the Malvern hills, where it is said that he gained much of his inspiration. If you like you can go into the picturesque town of Malvern and taste the famous natural spring water and then walk into the hills to see the magnificent views where Edward Elgar may well have imagined and penned his famous marches.

Worcester, steeped in local history includes a museum with probably one the greatest porcelain collections in the world. Worcester’s awesome Anglican Cathedral built on the north bank of the River Severn looms high above the town and at the rear of the Cathedral, the river has pedestrian pathways on both banks. If you fancy a day in the countryside, then the Three Counties Show is just a short distance from Worcester and is usually around mid-June.

Downstream is the pretty town of Upton upon Severn featuring its black and white buildings, annual jazz festival and several riverside pubs. Welland, just up the road from Upton hosts an annual steam fair where enthusiasts come from around the country to enjoy ancient agricultural memorabilia and a fair ground run by gleaming steam powered showman’s engines.
Upstream you can visit the beautiful town of Bewdley which is close to Stourport with its well-known river amenities.
Worcester can cater to most needs during your stay at Berkeley Meadows as the town has plenty of good pubs, clubs, restaurants and shopping facilities. The town has a park and ride 5 minutes away from Berkeley meadows but has plenty of parking should you decide to drive in.
Pershore, situated on the River Avon in the Vale of Evesham is a well-documented market town which is historically top ranked for its market gardening.

In spring the Vale bursts into fragrant blossoms and colourful green hues and in summer and autumn abounds with different varieties of asparagus, soft fruits and vegetables.
Instrumental in supplying potatoes, fruit, veg, and flowers to the big city markets such as Birmingham, London, Manchester and Liverpool, Pershore was once home to several packhouses specialising in cool chain road movements for the larger markets but also provided smaller deliveries to local shops and restaurants.
Both Gloucester docks and Cheltenham Spa’s famous racecourse are a thirty-to-forty-minute drive away. Cheltenham, renowned for its regency architecture and superb shopping facilities is full of life during the day and at night. Gloucester’s historic docks and shopping areas are well worth a visit and Gloucester is generally seen as the gateway to the Forest of Dean.

To the east is the Cotswold escarpment with its idyllic stone villages and rolling landscapes. Famous for wool and Roman Villas both Cirencester, (capital of the Cotswold’s) and Northleach, with its famous church known as the Cathedral of the Cotswolds are approximately one hours drive away. Other Cotswold towns of interest such as Broadway and Chipping Campden are a lesser thirty-minute drive. And Bibury about an hour.
Berkeley Meadows is a 5-minute drive from Worcester Parkway with cross country trains to Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff and London. We are also close to the M5 north with both Birmingham city centre and Birmingham International airport within an hour’s drive. The M5 south will take you to Bristol, approximately 1 hour and Bristol airport, is around 90 minutes by car. The Royal Worcester hospital A&E department is a ten-minute drive.

Surrounded by natural history, Berkeley Meadows nestles itself into one of the most inspiring countryside’s in the United Kingdom which makes it an ideal rural retreat for exploration and general karma. There is much to do in the natural and commercial worlds around us and the potential is endless. You could be walking the Malvern’s in the morning, paddle boarding or boating on the River Avon or Severn in the afternoon, then dining in a friendly local pub or restaurant in the evening. If you prefer something a little different for shopping and eating, then Birmingham with its ethnic diversity is a short drive or train ride away and if you are a curry fan then the Balti triangle will sound very appealing.

The Berkeley arms is Just a short walk across the car park and will provide good homecooked food and a variety of cask ales, lagers and reasonably priced wines for your enjoyment. The Berkeley arms will also provide takeaway food including Sunday carveries so if you just fancy staying in then good food and drink is just a phone call away.
The lodges at Berkeley Meadows are designed with convenience in mind. As soon as you walk in with your suitcase you are set up for a luxurious stay. Aesthetic surroundings, spacious plots with a variety of trees and shrubs plus everything you require for your comfort to hand make for a green and tranquil experience.
