The heritage of the building is deeply rooted in the local community. Built in 1990, the building sits on approximately 2 acres and acted as the base of operations for national greetings card and party business ‘Birthdays’, founded by local multi-millionaire and Manchester United shareholder Ron Wood. During his tenure, Atrium House was frequented and even occupied by members of United’s Class of 92 and alike, notably Neville Neville. The building, too, boasts links to the TV soap Coronation Street, with pictures of the show stars gracing the hallways.

In 2002, the site was purchased by British billionaire Henry Moser’s Together Group, where the building continued to operate as a multi-let office complex. The building’s final transfer of ownership occurred in the fall of 2020 when the North-West consortium, The Atrium Group, took ownership. Recent refurbishments modernising the interior of Atrium House to the cost of over half a million pounds have elevated the building to a grand status, but respect is still paid to the heritage of the building; the stars of Corrie can still be seen around the building to this day!
