Tasker Meadow is a meadow with an agricultural history and abundant potential for woodland creation - it is nestled in a beautiful part of the Welsh Marches, close to the village of Church Stoke. The meadow and surrounding area is characterised by picturesaue rolling hills. It is located on the border between England and Wales, in the county of Powys, with fabulous views of the Shropshire Hills to the east. The meandering River West Onny forms the boundary on the eastern side of the meadow, the banks of which are populated with trees, offering shady spots to sit and spend time in the summer months. An additional smaller brook forms the northern boundary, itself feeding into the Onny downstream. Such access to natural water is a valuable resource. Additionally, there is a well in the middle of the meadow.
Historically the land has been used for grazing animals and grass production but now offers the opportunity to a family or individual who is interested in undertaking a conservation project, be that woodland creation, wildflower meadow development or rewilding. This could be done for either carbon offsetting or amenity purposes. The volume of standing trees at the edge of the meadow and in the surrounding area would enable the natural regeneration of the land for those interested in harnessing the power of nature to trransform the landscape. Active tree planting could work in conjunction with this approach and there are a number of grants available to assist with the planting of trees.
The land is accessed via a hardcore track which runs from the gate at the main entrance and which terminates in the south west corner of the meadow, where an area of hardstanding allows for vehicular parking. From there, the meadow takes a broadly square shape with a gentle gradient running from the western boundary in an easterly direction down into the valley where the River Onny runs. A cluster of matures trees line the banks of the Onny, whilst a small number also project into the meadow creating a pleasing natural division of the eastern section of the land.
Tasker Meadow is a fine parcel of land with an enviable apsect, a balanced mix of open land and standing trees and a fantastic frontage on to an important watercourse. The long established hedgerow trees which border the meadow on all sides offer a great deal of privacy and a nice aesthetic. The views that can be enjoyed across the valley to the peaks of the Shropshire Hills is a defining feature of the meadow.
The purchasers of the meadow will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.

Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
