If you choose to apply for a rented property through Jackson-Stops you will be required to pay the following charges:
Administration and referencing fee: £50 per person.
Payment of Intent: when you apply for a tenancy of a property you will be asked to make a Payment of Intent of half the first months’ rent. This will be offset against the initial monies required before the commencement of the tenancy. This payment formalises your intent to proceed with an application for a tenancy subject to contract. Should the Landlord withdraw for any reason other than inadequate references then the Payment of Intent will be refunded in full. Should the reason be for inadequate references then the Payment of Intent will be refunded less the Administration and Referencing Fee detailed above £50.00 per applicant.
Security deposit: A deposit is required as security throughout the term of the tenancy. It is protected with The Dispute Service and is equivalent to one and a half months rent.
Rent: This is payable monthly in advance.
Check out fee payable at the end of the tenancy which is usually taken from the Deposit.  The cost of this will vary depending on the size of the property (1 bedroom £90, 2 bedrooms £100, 3 bedrooms £110, 4 bedrooms £160, 5 bedrooms £205, 6 bedrooms £250.00.  All fees are subject to VAT).
