This is most interesting character cottage located just off the town centre in Chapel Street, with a large garden that leads down to the River Lowman.
The cottage is deceptively spacious, arranged across split-levels – short stairs between floors – the sitting room on the ground floor, stairs lead down to the kitchen at the back of the house and the bathroom and bedrooms are on the floors above.
The front door opens into an entrance lobby. An internal stable door opens into the sitting room, with a large window drawing in plenty of light, a wood burner for that special warmth, and the tiled floor is easy to keep clean. Steps lead down into the kitchen which offers plenty of storage and, with wooden worktops, ceramic double sink unit, integrated dishwasher, space and plumbing for a washing machine, condenser tumble dryer, and a fridge freezer. Door to the rear garden.
From the sitting room, steps lead up to a half landing where the bathroom is found. This is a lovely large room, with exposed floorboards, and a claw footed rolltop bath, with a shower above.
Another few steps up lead you to the larger of the two bedrooms, with two windows this is a lovely light room. Another few steps up to the top of the house, and this is where the second double bedroom is located. This room has a pleasant view out the rear overlooking the garden.
The kitchen door opens to a footpath at the back of the house that provides access to a couple of other properties. A gate opens to the enclosed rear garden which is an excellent size and when you are in it, you really don’t feel like you are so close to the centre of Tiverton. A large timber garden room currently provides a good storage space, but could equally be adapted to serve as a home office, or as intended – an escape from the house – a second lounge perhaps?
Tiverton is a thriving and historical market Town that has independent cafés, a recently improved leisure centre, three superstores, along with plenty of other shops to enjoy something to eat and drink or browse through.
This town is well placed for access to the nearby countryside, both coastlines and the everyday conveniences with excellent transport links. The A361, M5 and Tiverton Parkway railway station are all easily reached.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on December 16, 2021
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on January 29, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on May 4, 2022 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
Any supplementary data should not be relied upon as forming part of any property particulars and OnTheMarket cannot be held responsible for any incorrectness in this data. See here for more information.
