This woodland features a variety of trees, including mature oaks, chestnut coppice, and sycamore, with elder, red oak, holly, birch, and hornbeam also present. The terrain is flat, and the ground is adorned with ferns and bluebells in season.

To the east, open fields allow ample light to illuminate the site. A seasonal pond on the northern border attracts abundant wildlife, including frequent visits from deer and an impressive badger sett along the western boundary.

The site offers good private access throughout the year. The southern entrance is marked by a ride stop and a wide track leads to the northeast corner of the site. Additionally, a gated entrance on the western boundary provides access via a stoned track to a spacious open area, perfect for setting up camp or a woodland base. Woodland paths meander throughout the site and along the eastern edge.

Locally, The Peacock Inn and the village of Goudhurst, with its shops and restaurants, are within walking distance.

Boundaries: The boundary is open on all sides and borders neighbouring woodland and private land. North and west follow the main access tracks and orchards and open land sit to the east.  

Access: Vehicle access is possible all year round via a hard track and a shared gate marked A on the map. Parking is possible within the woodland. Pedestrian access is via the footpath, marked B.
