Set in the heart of the village is this beautiful two bedroom period home filled with natural light. The property benefits from sitting in a prominent location within an extremely short walk to the amenities of Chew Magna. It would be a perfect home for downsizers or a 'lock-up and leave' with a stunning low maintenance courtyard garden.
The property internally is extremely well-presented and fitted out to a high standard. The accommodation comprises a welcoming entrance hall with useful downstairs cloakroom, two good sized reception rooms, one with a vaulted ceiling and access to the sunny rear courtyard, plus a newly fitted kitchen/breakfast room including fitted dishwasher, fridge/freezer, gas hob and two ovens, with a door to a rear porch. Stairs from the sitting room lead to a landing which offers potential for a home office space and in turn access to two double bedrooms both with vaulted ceilings giving a generous feeling of space. The bedrooms are serviced by a good-sized contemporary family bathroom with a separate shower.
Outside the property benefits from a south facing courtyard garden which catches the sun for most of the day. It is completely private, enclosed by a stone wall and features a range of plants.
Our vendor says...
We have appreciated the location of the house at the centre of the village, so convenient for the shops and other facilities.
When we bought the house, it was in a neglected state, and we enjoyed being able to renovate the entire property, and make it suit our needs. We made sure that there was lots of storage space for a property of this size. with a new cloak cupboard, plenty of kitchen cupboards, bookshelves, and fitted wardrobe in the main bedroom.
On bright winter days, the sunshine streams through the French windows into the sitting room, making it feel warm and cosy during the colder months.
The central heating has proved to be very efficient on the days the sun has not shone. The private garden is enclosed on all sides, and we have found it a sunny and sheltered spot for the summer where the birds come to feed, without it being directly overlooked.
We have noticed...
This home is beautifully presented and ready for its next owners to move in and enjoy. The courtyard garden has a Mediterranean feel, and is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening.
Directions Driving through Chew Magna from Winford, continue down the High Street and the property is on the right hand side, just before the Co-op.

OnTheMarket may have applied supplementary data to this property listing, including:
Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on January 8, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on January 8, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on October 4, 2020 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
