Description
Manor House West is a charming property built from limestone under a traditional limestone roof, dating from the early 18th century. It was originally built for Bramham Park Estate and is thought to be part of the original Manor Farm where the estate manager would have lived. The house was later split into the West and East in 1850, the West side being the larger half.
The accommodation is arranged over four floors and extends to more than 2,200 square feet. The property is full of character with its original beams, ornate fireplaces and large timber sash windows befitting its Grade II listed status.
The kitchen/ dining room is a particular highlight, with its fantastic original inglenook fireplace complete with unique brick ovens, fitted with timber cabinetry and with lovely views across the garden. Leading from here is a well proportioned sitting room centred by a marvellous open fireplace, benefitting south-facing views over the garden.
The first floor hosts three good sized bedrooms (one, three and four) with the added benefit of built in wardrobes, all sharing a house bathroom. Bedroom four could be used a nursery or opportunity for home office. On the second floor, into the eaves, is a further double bedroom (two) which has the added benefit of an en-suite shower room.
The lower ground floor provides yet more space and ample opportunity for a games room, home gym or cinema room.
The house is approached off Aberford Road despite the address being High Street. There is a pedestrian access to the back of the property which allows access to the High Street. There is a good size garage, potting shed and log store. The south and west facing garden is a wonderful bright space to be enjoyed, surrounded by high hedging and mature trees it is a real sanctuary.
