On the edge of the Blackmore Vale, Middle Farm is situated in a rural location between Sherborne and Sturminster Newton on the edge of the Blackmore Vale. Located south west of Stalbridge, the farm is well connected to the national road network. The farm takes direct access from Caundle Lane, linking to Sherbourne Road and the A357 and the A303 beyond, suitable for Arctic lorries and HGVs.

Description:
Middle Farm currently functions as a pullet rearing operation with a capacity for 67,000 birds. Split across 2 purpose built sheds the farm could be repurposed as a broiler facility or to an entirely different use (STP). The western shed was built from timber frame in the 1960s and the eastern barn in 2005 from tin panels and steel frame. Each shed is split into 3 sections, to ensure consistent bird numbers throughout. The poultry shed have an approximate gross external area (GEA) of 20,000 sq ft. Both buildings are fitted with automatic feeders, nipple drinkers and mechanical ventilation. Ventilation is provided by side mounted vents (inlets) that draw fresh air into the shed through mounted ridge fans (outlets). Heating is provided by a Twin Heat woodchip boiler, with additional gas and oil boilers in each shed. The sheds are serviced by four 18 tonne bulk feed bins. The property operates on mains electricity with automatic backup generators. Additionally there are solar panels installed on the shed roofs supplying to 25kw per day. In addition to the two sheds, there is an open plan pole barn, used as a vehicle and part store. Located at the entrance of the farm lies Middle Farm farmhouse. Built 7 years ago to accommodate site staff, the house has 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms and 1 ensuite. The house is subject to an (AOC). Downstairs, there is an open plan kitchen diner, a main hall and attached reception room. Upstairs are three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (1 ensuite). Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on June 19, 2024 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
