Property description & features

  • Tenure: Freehold
  • Outstanding views
  • Elegant and well-proportioned
  • Grade II Listed
  • 4 Bedrooms
  • 3 Bathrooms
Moor Court was originally built in 1864 as a very substantial country house. It was vertically divided in the 1970s into a number of smaller
units, North Wind being at the northern end. Typical of its period, the house has well presented and elegant rooms with good ceiling
heights and large sash windows. The westerly views, across the River Severn to the distant Welsh mountains, are magnificent. Internally, the
large kitchen/dining room gives an immediate feeling of space. The sitting room is a good size and has a fireplace with a wood-burning stove.
Beyond is a separate study or further reception room. On the lower ground floor, the rooms are similarly proportioned and include a large
utility room, a large games room/gym (with a shower room leading off) and a great home cinema. There is also a useful wine cellar. On the
first floor are four double bedrooms and three bathrooms, two of which are en suite.

To the front of the house is a gravelled parking area. A separate driveway leads to the side of the house, with further parking and access
to the garage, which also has a door into the house. The main garden lies to the west of the house and has the same outstanding views.
There is a wide paved terrace, with three doors leading into the house. Beyond are two areas of lawn with mixed borders.

Moor Court lies on the edge of Rodborough Common and Minchinhampton Common, in the heart of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding
Natural Beauty. The two commons comprise over 800 acres of open pasture, managed by the National Trust, and providing excellent walks
as well as a diverse range of wild flora and fauna. Minchinhampton and Nailsworth (both within 2 miles) are traditional Cotswold market towns
with a good choice of schools and facilities. Other local towns include Stroud and Tetbury. The other major centres in the area include
Bath, Bristol, Gloucester and Cheltenham, all within a 25 mile radius. Excellent private and state schools locally including Beaudesert
Park (1.5 miles) and a good choice of grammar schools.

    Broadband availability and predicted speed

Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:

    Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
    Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
    Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s

The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2

Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength

Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:

Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services

Energy Performance data and Internal floor area
