Agents Note
Following a recent survey in October 2024 we have been made aware of the following recommendations relating to the septic tank:
Summary and Recommendations
Is the system compliant with 2020 General Binding Rules?
The system does not meet the 2020 General Binding Rules. This is because it is not
operating as originally designed. The pump is allowing the sewage to flood over the baffle
wall and not holding the solids back. This is causing untreated sewage to be discharged into
the surrounding area.
Recommendations
The system doesn’t carry a British standard because it is made of brick. This means the
system can’t be repaired and must be replaced. We recommend installing a 8-person
sewage treatment plant discharging to a drainage field.
