History
Brook House is quite simply one of the finest early 19th century properties anywhere in Cornwall having been originally built for Nicholas Harvey of the well known Harvey family, whose foundry and business interests in Cornish harbours, copper smelting and mining, brought them great wealth. The house was also a long time home of William Husband, an engineer and manager of Harvey's during their most expansive phase in the 1850's and 1860's.
