In 1892, the building was taken over by the Union Castle Line, and when the Union and Castle lines amalgamated in 1900, the building became the Southampton office of Union-Castle line as Part of Southamptons rich naval history.The building was converted in 2001 into exclusive apartments situated around the grand main hall. The history of this building remains with evidence of this being seen in the great hall.
