When It Absolutely, Definitely Needs To Be Dalston. You may be able to buy a bigger flat elsewhere but it won't be the same as living in this sought-after village. With a quick lick of paint it could become a fabulous flat for young and old alike. Property ref: KD0516

If you’re looking for an affordable and manageable property that will get you into Dalston, you would do well to take a look at this one bedroom ground floor flat.

Glebe Close is a quiet no-through-road with a small number of flats at the end of the cul-de-sac - most of the properties are neat, well maintained bungalows.

There’s a living room at the front of the flat, with a separate fitted kitchen and double bedroom at the rear.

Once you’ve given it lick of paint and put new carpets down it will feel like a fresh, modern home. Both the kitchen and shower room are quite modern so you wouldn’t need to urgently update either room.

You get a south-facing garden at the front where you can sit out by the porch and soak up the sun. Being at the front means the garden isn’t at all private but as you’re down the end of the close there’s no through traffic - you’ll hardly ever be disturbed.

Glebe Close is on the southwestern edge of the village, so it’s easy to get out and explore the nearby countryside.

But it’s only a 10 minute walk to the centre of the village, which has a Co-op, a range of local shops and cafés and the popular Blue Bell pub.

If you’re heading further afield there are regular trains from Dalston to Carlisle and Barrow-In-Furness. And it only takes around 15 minutes to drive to Carlisle city centre or 20 minutes to Junction 42 of the M6.

This affordable ground floor flat isn’t quite move-in-ready but it would only take a couple of weekends to freshen it up. Then you’d have a manageable home in this very sought-after village.

I’m expecting plenty of interest so call me to arrange a viewing.
