Mr S B Freckelton and Mr J E Adkinson formed the company, originally as auctioneers and branched out into property management and Estate Agency. At the end of the Second world war Mr Freckelton was joined by his son and daughter, Mr S J Freckelton and Miss M M J Freckelton. A trend that would repeat itself in the late 1970s when Graham and Malcolm Freckelton joined their father and aunt in the family business. Over 95 years after its inception Freckeltons still trade from the original premise on Leicester Road and have the largest Estate Agents window display in the town.
