In the Owners own words:
We are the second owners of this well-loved family home. When we first viewed the house we fell in love with it and could see the potential to turn it into an amazing home. Which we have now transformed from a very outdated house to a modern and functional home holding onto some of the original features like the arches on the fireplace, internal doors, picture rails and the original floorboards.
We were drawn to Lye Valley due to its quiet nature. Lye Valley nature reserve meant we quickly ended up with a dog - then two! The nature reserve along with Peat Moors field and Shotover has been a life saver for us with two dogs and a 2 year old and we visit one or two of them practically every day.
We first spoke with our neighbours on the left when we viewed the house ourselves pre-purchase; they since welcomed us with a big smile and you'll often catch us outside having a catch up over house projects, cars, kids. Our two year old loves playing with the kids on the opposite side who are also equally as friendly. Both sides have been known to share homemade food with us - always a winner!
Further afar than the direct neighbours, all over Lye Valley we've been fortunate to have made friends with others in Lye Valley through our children or when walking the dogs, whether for a social chat or a play date. We will surely miss our house and community spirit.

Broadband availability and predicted speed: obtained from Ofcom on January 5, 2022
Broadband speed is measured in megabits per second, with the number returned showing how fast the connection is. Each reading is based on the highest predicted speed of any major broadband network for services that deliver the download speeds. The following are the different readings that we may display:
Basic: Up to 30 Mbit/s
Super-fast: Between 30 Mbit/s and 300 Mbit/s
Ultra-fast: Over 300 Mbit/s
The data is updated three times a year. The checker results are predictions and should not be regarded as guaranteed. For more information, see: https://checker.ofcom.org.uk/en-gb/about-checker#Answer_0_2
Mobile phone signal availability and predicted strength: obtained from Ofcom on January 5, 2022
Mobile signal predictions are provided by the four UK mobile network operators: EE, O2, Three and Vodafone. Predictions can vary significantly from the coverage you may actually experience as a result of local factors (especially terrain). Ofcom has tested the actual coverage provided in various locations around the UK to help ensure that these predictions are reasonable. The values shown against a property can be broken down as follows:
Clear: No bars, no signal predicted
Red: One bar, reliable signal unlikely
Amber: Two bars, may experience problems with connectivity
Green: Three bars, likely to have good coverage and receive a data rate to support basic web services
Enhanced: Full bars, likely to have good coverage indoors and to receive an enhanced data rate to support multimedia services
Energy Performance data and Internal floor area: obtained on June 6, 2018 from The Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 or the Home Report if in relation to a residential property in Scotland.
