The planning permission is for the erection of four dwelling houses with associated road and drainage works. The development proposes a courtyard form of development for three of the units and a detached house to the south. The design of the proposed houses is traditional in terms of proportions and layout but has modern interventions and design features. Natural slate is proposed on the roof, with an off-white render, natural stone and timber cladding on the walls. The site layout is conceived as a cluster of buildings similar to a farmhouse grouping. The design statement recommends that the filter beds will be removed and materials crushed for re-use, lowering the development platform.
